Module Outline & Content

Module 1 - Introduction
This module will introduce you to the Digital Marketing Institute’s 3i methodology and framework, which will enable you to plan and develop an effective strategy for your organization. You will learn how to address the complexities of planning and become familiar with the concept of strategic management and reporting.
Module 2 - Digital Communications
The social media module introduces the key social media platforms for digital marketing and demonstrates how to set up a social media experience for a business. You will discover techniques and best practices for growing and engaging a social media audience.

Through this module you will learn how to apply social media concepts and best practices to both organic and paid marketing activities. This will teach you to run campaigns that yield a positive ROI across a variety of platforms. You will understand the fundamental principles of social media marketing and be able to identify key stages in the buyer’s journey. Alongside this, you will learn about the value of reporting on data from social media platform analytics tools and utilize it to inform future campaign objectives.

Module 3 - Marketing Automation
This module aims to empower digital marketers to automate their marketing processes in the areas of lead management, lead generation, lead nurturing, sales enablement, social media marketing automation and customer evangelism.
Module 4 - Big Data & Analytics
This module will provide you with a broad understanding of Big Data, Advanced Analytics and AI. You will learn the fundamental frameworks and understand how cutting-edge analytics tools are being employed to help businesses succeed. You will learn the elements and practices that make up an efficient analytical approach and the main considerations when constructing a formal analytics program for your business.
Module 5 - Strategy Formulation & Plan
The Strategy Formulation and Plan module will provide a structured conclusion to bring together all the strands of the Digital Strategy and Planning Program. It introduces you to methodologies for utilizing a SWOT Analysis to develop SMART objectives and create a coherent strategic plan for your organisation.
Module 6 - Traditional Communications
‍The SEO module will enable you to build an organic search marketing strategy that brings the right kind of visitors to your website. You will learn how to boost online conversions, stand out in the fiercely competitive online marketplace and protect a positive ROI.

Through the SEO module you will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of SEO, how it differs from paid search, be able to set SEO objectives, build an SEO content strategy and boost your websites organic search ranking using a range of technical elements.

Module 7 - Digital Channels
‍The display and video advertising module will equip you with the technical understanding and skills to build and maintain an effective display and video advertising strategy. As part of this, you will learn how to create a YouTube channel, manage video content and identify ad formats available within the Google Display Network and YouTube. Furthermore, you will learn how to apply targeting, re-marketing and a bidding strategy to your campaigns before analysing their effectiveness by pulling reports detailing the most important metrics available.
Module 8 - Budget & Resourcing
The Budget & Resourcing module looks at the crucial aspects of planning and maintaining a budget in your digital marketing strategy. On completion of this module, you will be familiar with the key areas to consider when creating a budget for digital activities and understand the range of documentation required.
Module 9 - Digital Leadership
The Digital Leadership module will guide you in your transition from a traditional to a digital strategy and empower you to mentor coach and lead your team in their digital marketing activities. You will learn how to bridge the gap between marketing and sales, act as a social leader, build and maintain awareness of your digital strategy and implement effective communication strategies.
